
Tim Turner, a talented and innovative culinarian, has been named the new Executive Chef at The Lodge & Club.
A Connecticut native, Chef Turner graduated from the University of Connecticut prior to receiving a Culinary Arts Degree from the famed Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. During the past 15 years, he has honed his craft at such honored hotels and dining establishments as the Ritz Carlton Boston, Ritz Carlton Atlanta and The Lodge at Sea Island in Georgia.
Food trends and fads do little to impact Chef Turner's inventive menus which he describes as a personalized interpretation of modern World Cuisine prepared with classical cooking techniques. The food, best described as being simple without being simplistic, receives its inspiration from daily trips to local markets and the seasonality of foods. His culinary philosophy is shaped by an absolute insistence on fresh ingredients and quality products.
As Executive Chef at The Lodge & Club, Chef Turner will be responsible for all aspects of food operations including staff training and menu development for restaurants and banquets. He lives locally with his wife and two children.
